Whole Paws is the natural pet food line developed for Whole Foods Market. As the natural pet food category expanded, the brand needed a clearer identity and stronger emotional connection with shoppers.

Confluence Brand Strategy helped reposition the brand around a simple but powerful insight: pet owners respond to authenticity and real relationships with their animals. The strategy introduced real pet ambassadors on packaging, replacing generic imagery with photographs of actual pets to create a more personal and trustworthy brand presence.

We provided the creative direction for the packaging concept, shaping a visual system that emphasized authenticity, warmth, and the everyday bond between pets and their owners. The approach reinforced Whole Paws’ natural ingredient standards while making the brand feel approachable and real at the retail shelf.

The resulting packaging helped differentiate Whole Paws within the crowded natural pet food category and strengthened its emotional appeal to shoppers seeking high-quality nutrition for their pets.
